| Welcome to EvO:R Entertainment |
Einar Vilberg on EvO:R
Einar was one of the websites founding fathers. He was also the first International artist to grace our pages
when we opened in the late 1990's. Over the years Einar has sent me many great songs from his vast collection of hits
that he has recorded. In late 2005 I convienced him to let me release a compilation CD of the Best songs from
his collection. Once he agreed to allow me to make this compilation Jef Peace at Peacework Music Network took exactly
30 seconds to agree to distribute the CD. Now we are proud
to offer his fine music to the world.
Bio/Info
Einar Vilberg was the first International artist to be
added to the evor.com pages. After looking for a couple International
artists over the course of a few months we picked Einar because he
had a long history of music success dating back to the late 60's and
early '70's and his musicial contributions over seas needed to be read
about in the United States.
Einar became a wonderful addition to the
website within weeks of his addition. Fans and friends have flocked to
his pages to check for updates on when and if he will return to his
earlier glory. He is currently playing guitar with his son-n-law who is fast
becoming one of the top DJ's in Iceland so we can look for more Einar
sightings soon.
Einar Vilberg started in the music business quit early, born in
Reykjavik Iceland 1950. He started writing songs at the age of 14.
Einars first appearance as a musician was as a singer in a school band
called the "Beatnicks", (note the take off on the Beatles!!)
In 1969 he flew to London England to cut his first record, (there where
no recording studios in Iceland at that time) playing the role of
songwriter and guitar player on a single called Insane world,
an anti war project sung by one of Iceland’s most popular singer at that time.
Next year Einar provided songs and guitar playing on two more singles
sung by prominent Icelandic artists.
In 1972 after playing in different groups and doing some television shows Einar
made the LP Gypsy Queen
writing the lyrics and the songs. And as a follow up Einar and his friend Jonas
went to Tokyo-Japan to participate in the Yamaha song festival and did
record one of Einar’s song (with a Japanese song on the flip side) that was
released only in Japan.
In 1976 Einar made the album Starlight in a brand new
8 track studio in Iceland. On Starlight Einar was accompanied by the cream of
rock musicians in Iceland. Next year Einar moved to Copenhagen-Danmark and started
playing with an Icelandic rock band based in Copenhagen and learning a little bit
about real life in the process.
After 5 years playing and doing different kind of ordinary jobs Einar
returned to Iceland and got some friends together and made a raw rock and
roll album called Noise.
In the next years Einar proceeded writing songs while building a
family. He remained out of the buisness while providing for his family, but
still playing and writing at home. The last years Einar has been playing in small
places in Reykjavik and around the countryside. Einar recently bought a Roland
VS-840 and is recording and experimenting with the songs on his next album that hopefully
will see the light of day.

Reviews
* If you were a fan of the mid sixties era Beatles, Captain Beefheart,
and the Moby Grape, you will love to listen to Einar Vilberg. The music
is easy to follow, well organized and the tunes make you want to join
in and sing along. Some of the artist today could really use a lesson
in song construction from an artist of this Caliber. We are proud to
have Einar Vilberg as a member of the organization.

* Einar Vilberg's music displays his nice vocals, tasty guitar playing,
and nifty arranging/ producing that allows him to effectively express
his ideas in a decidedly pop music format. This is not just simple ear
candy, but music that fits perfectly what he is singing about. This
is extremely good stuff, and I'm glad I've heard it....

* Vilberg's music is simply soft and "bluesy", but his life has been
quite an exerience! From being influenced from various artists such
as the Beatles, Chuck Berry, and Elvis, Vilberg has developed a
swinging, jazzy style to his music, making it catchy and easy to
follow! Vilberg certainly has a positive attitude towards music,
making him very successful at what he and everyone loves, MUSIC!!!!
Fragile Fear
* "Hey, finally some music I can relate to! This kid is good.
Nice Blues and good guitar. This stuff makes me happy and I didn't
have to take twice my medicatin to enjoy it I like it." "My only
complaint, what kind of crazy name is Einar Vilberg?"
