The music of TL2 ranges from heavy metal to ambient, then throw in a little Industrial Strength rock for flavor. TL2 specializes in maximzing lush soundscapes while maintaining D.I.Y. roots. As both a musician and the founder of a large musician's co-op, TL2's Charlie Harrelson has not only kindled the musical flames, he has started a huge fire with such projects as "Life Without Light," "Esoteric Visions" and "Tracks Across America Vol. 1-5" just to name a few. Now he's devoted a bit of that incredible energy to put the final stamp on his own album and we at PWMN could not be more pleased that he's released it through us first.

The Quad-Cranium CD is a tribute to an experiment gone drastically wrong with grave effects. Some of Orbi Foto's frequency work was used in creating a few of these songs. Altered States of Consciousness can be expected after listening to certain songs in a certain order. This CD marked the return of TL2 and Mark Bell as they played together for the first time in over 20 years. The results where simply amazing!

What happens when a metal guitarist retires, cuts his hair, loses his leather jackets and takes up gardening? Well, hopefully he is happy with his new simpler life. That was what happened to TL2 guitarist Charlie Harrelson. After years of work on the "TWO" project he pulled back and sold his Marshall stacks and bought a Toro riding mower and John Deer Weed eater and retired. Fans of the other TL2 offerings my run for cover after hearing this CD, but if taken in the right context this offering is a rather funny.

OK..Track Across America or TAA came about 5 years ago when EvO:R founder Charlie Harrelson wanted to create a track sharing project via the Internet. Musicians from anywhere could join in and make great music together without having the formal restraints s/a time and distance. This was the single basic idea that got EvO:R (www.evor.com) off the ground. How does this whole thing work? One musician would record some music on a 4 track or digital home studio, and send the tracks to another musician ( It could also be the foundation tracks s/a bass and drums or keyboards). The next musician is responsible for adding another track, then sends the song to another artist, and so on. The artist that has the music is in total control of the arrangement. This way each person gets to create their own vision of the direction that each song will be going.
