Welcome to the EvO:R-The Goods Section.
Many websites have been put up to warn people about scams
and services that do not live up to expectations. As a result we have
had a huge void in websites that list services that reach or exceed our expectations.
Every year I sent out emails to thousands of people requesting that if they had a great
experience with any company, service, or website involved in the music business to please send me
that information. Well, it seems as if it is much harder to get people to respond and share a
good experience then a bad one so we will slowly build each of our sections based on the results of the March 2004
emails and we will continue to add more and more topics and compliments as we move forward.
EvO:R does not take responsibility for any site or service in this section. We are simply providing
websites and services that have exceeded expectation in the past.

Suzette Becker -
I can't rave enough about Suzette Becker. After conferences and conversations with her I am SO impressed
with her sharp attention for details, but broad overview of a situation. (Meaning: she knows how to drop
the lawyer-talk, and look at a situation for what it is.) She's a tireless networker at every music conference,
and a great person to have on your side, even if you never go to New Orleans.
(Her office is above the House of Blues.) Her analysis of the CD Baby Digital distribution contract was spot-on
and impressive. One of the friendliest people you'll ever meet, and VERY up-to-date on all the
digital/download/internet issues of the day.

Masur & Associates - They've done a lot of great work for CD Baby: the deal between CD Baby and Tower
Records, all the deals with the digital download retailers, and more. Their website
explains their services better than I can, but Cheryl, Andy, and Steven are great
people and I highly recommend them.

LaPolt Law - Dina was a professional musician for years, and it shows. She's one of the most helpful
people I've met, with a real specialty in helping artists with deals. She knows everyone
in the industry, and puts herself out there at every music conference to help musicians
as much as she can. Though she works with the biggest, she always has time for unknown
emerging artists. Treat her for sushi at Murakami Sushi on Santa Monica Blvd.
