This is Delorenzo’s latest effort entitled “Wanna Fly” released in 2011 & it certainly doesn’t disappoint.
This is one artist from New Jersey that brings to the table effective songwriting coupled with a high-energy vocal delivery.
The opening track "I’d Change for you” sets the stage rather well for this CD. It was a great intro piece which bounced along
well & had me focused for what lied ahead. All in all the whole CD is wonderfully simple & full of Rock, R&B, & even Americana
moments pure & full of variety. Musical overtones reminded me a bit of Melissa Etheridge, Bonnie Rait & even Janis Joplin to
Bette Midler. There are some fantastic grooves on this CD which gives this CD a modern poppy vibe. Delorenzo’s vocal presence
works well track for track, & her band just grooves well together. She has a raspy quality to there voice that is very distinct in a good way
Conclussion:
This CD will simply make your day a brighter place. The strong suit of DeLorenzo is how she feels
comfortable letting it all hang out on every track. At the end of the CD you will find yourself inspired,
invigorated & happier than you were 45 minutes prior.
