  •  The Independent Musicians CD Reviews

Welcome to the EvO:R Independent CD Reviews Section.
I would like to take a few minutes to introduce ourselves to everyone. The EvO:R review section features reviews from various independent musicians that submit material for our consideration.

I wanted to let you know a little about our review teams collective thoughts on music. It's important to let the people that we review know how we think of their music and how we listened to their creations.

First of all, we strongly believe that if your music stinks then the world should know about it! After all, you have the nerve to charge as much for your stuff as the majors do so it better be pretty damn good. If your material is good, we'll be glad to tell the world. I We will hold nothing back! That is a promise.

     Choose the Game
    by David's Pegasus

The promo materials that accompanied this cd states the songs on this cd are set to an animated silent film which chronicles the adventures of King David and his sassy winged traveling companion Pegasus.

They refer to themselves as "pop art" and I'll let them get away with it. The musicianship and vocals are both above average and the compositions are quite good.

Technically, the mixing was done quite well and the individual songs hold no audio surprises to detract from the album as a whole.

    About the CD:
David's Pegasus is a group of session musicians employed by the shadowy entertainment company AtardiCorp, which by all accounts was shut down in the early 1980s amidst rumors of deviant subliminal messages hidden beneath the surface of their primitive video games. For whatever reason, David's Pegasus has agreed to tour for AtardiCorp, providing a catchy pop soundtrack for the forgotten games of the failed AtardoVision game console.
    Song Samples from the CD
All song samples are from Blue Delusion page on CD Baby.

    Conclusion:
If you're a fan of the indie pop genre, you'll probably like this album and its old-time computer game artwork. If you're not a fan of the genre, you'll want to give this one a pass.
