  •  The Independent Musicians CD Reviews

Welcome to the EvO:R Independent CD Reviews Section.
I would like to take a few minutes to introduce ourselves to everyone. The EvO:R review section features reviews from various independent musicians that submit material for our consideration.

I wanted to let you know a little about our review teams collective thoughts on music. It's important to let the people that we review know how we think of their music and how we listened to their creations.

First of all, we strongly believe that if your music stinks then the world should know about it! After all, you have the nerve to charge as much for your stuff as the majors do so it better be pretty damn good. If your material is good, we'll be glad to tell the world. I We will hold nothing back! That is a promise.

     Resolution
    by Accidental Tribe
    Reviewed by Michael Morrison

This is Accidental Tribes latest effort entitled “Resolution” released in 2010 & it certainly doesn’t disappoint. This is one band that brings to the table effective songwriting with high-energy punk rock delivery. This band is also known for their powerful live performances around the New York area. Band members include: Moe Cash on bass Beat ‘A Tribe’ Arevalo on vocals & guitar, Peter Harrison McWhinney on guitar and D-Boogie Wondaland on drums.

The opening track "Half” sets the stage rather well for this CD. It was a great intro piece which bounced along well & had me focused for what lied ahead. All in all the whole CD is wonderfully simple & rock solid. Music reminded me a little of Green Day, Soundgarden, and maybe even Sevendust. There are some fantastic grooves on this CD which gives this band a modern jam band vibe. Arevalo’s vocal presence works well track for track, & the whole band just grooves well together.

    Conclusion:
My only criticism with this release: the overall sound quality. It sounds like it was recorded live either at the studio or during a soundcheck. But maybe that’s what they were trying to shoot for: capturing the spontaneity of a Jam Band feel. This is hard to do is a studio setting. If the sound quality was up to snuff this CD would no doubt be a 9 or 10.

10 star rating average – This CD gets 7.0 stars
