Roberto Luz on EvO:R
The sound of Roberto Luz´s flute has echoed sweetly off the volcanos for many years.
His music is an eclectic mix of sounds from many cultures, designed to transport
you to different planes of reality. The uses a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments
to help his flute take you to the desired place. I really can't say what style it is,
because it seems like every tune has it's own life and can sound like anything.
My basic approach is kind of visual…. What I want to do is to transport people into
different levels of consciousness and different places in the mindscape, and make
them dance at the same time. I imagine the place that I want to take you to and
then provide the music that would probably play in that place. You just have to fill
in the visuals.

Starbirth
New Age, World, Ambient, Progressive Rock, Jazz
Starbirth Music is the musical home of Martin Schiff, aka Starbirth. His combinations
of indigenous instruments, such as the australian didgeridoo, Native American flutes,
shofar, Tibetan bells and chanting combine with electric and acoustic 12 string guitar
and synthesizers to create unique sounds that can be both exciting and/or mellow.
One of Martin's musical interests is the didgeridoo. It is an instrument that was created by the aborigines in Australia. They are typically made out of a eucalyptus tree trunk that has been hollowed out by termites, and then expert aborigine craftsmen cut the trees, shave down the outside and make them into didgeridoos. Randy Graves, one of the finest didgeridoo players in the world, has a nice presentation on his Gingerroot website that shows how Djalu Gurruwiwi, the premier didgeridoo craftsman in Australia, makes his instruments. They are also called "didjeridu" and "yidaki" among other names. It is a rhythm instrument that is played similarly to a trombone, but with a technique called circular breathing that allows the player to keep a continuous drone going.

Karl Kalbaugh

An eclectic mixture of gospel-inspired rock, world, ambient and classical,
much of the instrumentation for Terra Nova's 10 cuts are performed by
Karl himself, in addition to a number of guest musicians (Lim Peacock,
Eric Heiberg, Pete Barnhart, and Susan Kalbaugh) and vocalist Miranda
Hoof.
According to Karl, the music is "meant to evoke thoughts about
world peace; what does it take on an individual level, and, ultimately,
the rewards of sustained peace with our neighbors in the world.

2nd Story Band
2ND STORY's stage ad-libbing, instrumental improvisations, haunting harmonies and
ease with a wide variety of styles, not to mention Meagan's expressive and smoky
vocal interpretations, have delighted college, club and festival audiences for over
twenty years. Gary Loewenthal, a four year band member and a veteran of blues, rock,
alternative, and Bossa Nova bands, spices up the sound with his soulful and driving
guitar "licks". And along with Meagan's propulsive bass and Geoff's many guitar flavors
and multi instrumental garnishes they fire up a strong melodic groove. You are not
often likely to hear a band so convincingly and so expertly blend jazz forms, funky
blues and world rhythms into such a tasty gumbo!!!

Louis Lamp
Anything but restrained, there is still an obvious cadence to the melodies that can be
felt as well as heard, leaving the listener wanting more but not sure they could handle
even a note beyond what they’ve already heard. This album both soothes and energizes
the listener with a passion that has seldom been heard in any genre, let alone new age.
It’s in your hands now and now it’s your turn to play a part in musical history by giving
this album the attention it deserves, encouraging Louis Lamp to give more of his talent
to the world in the form of more music, more albums.

William Blanchard
William has backround in everything from classical piano to playing in touring
rock bands. William has had the honor to share the same stage with artists like
Greg Kihn, Eric Johnson and even Dougie Fresh.
Deciding that New Age and Film music was where his heart is, William just recently
started to promote his music and the internet was a great way to express that many
people who would not have normally been exposed to his work. In the short time that
William has been promoting and producing new music online, he has had much success.

Richard Carr
Carr’s improvisational composition style is full of melodic lines and
rich harmonies indicative of the classical influences of the American,
Russian and French composers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth
centuries. Additionally, more modern influences as diverse as Mannheim
Steamroller, Tangerine Dream, John Adams, Keith Jarrett, Cole Porter,
Steve Reich, George Winston, and George Gershwin are also evident.
Aware of the meditative quality of his music, Richard has been exploring the healing side of his music. Working in the holistic community of St. Louis, Richard has developed the I AM Creative Sessions. These sessions are personal sessions in which Richard creates music for the client’s intention or focus. In essence, he creates a soundtrack for the intention.

Jobo Pooks

Guitar player since the age of ten with influences ranging from the beatles through
Led Zepp, to George Benson and Joe Pass, there are far too many to mention.
Most of my time now is taken up with writing and doing studio work. I built my
own studio and produce my own CDs and artwork under the "Flesenge Records"
label.
Humans search on and continue to find something out of nothing. The searching machines get bigger, more complicated and complication keeps the search on levels that create further complication. The observation of the scientists brings new meanings to the perceived masses and as the collective consciousness agrees, the new becomes the old. Constantly asking what the nature of reality is, the scientists play with their toys and they, along with the product of their searching; the collective consciousness, fail to see that reality only exists because it is observed as existing and it is observed through an energy that will never be measured by that which is constructed from itself, but only by that energy itself. That energy is thought. Without thought there is no thought and everything that is observed is only observed because thought makes it so. Reality is simply the observation of itself.

Mountain Mirror

Mountain Mirrors is a psychoactive blend of progressive,
ethereal rock and ambient world music for a new age.
Over time, you will find the sound of Mountain Mirrors
expanding deeper and deeper into the spirit realm.
"This could be a classic album if the right promoters got their hands on it. I haven’t heard anyone take on this kind of music with this much success in this whole generation of musicians. I have to take you back to Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Iron Butterfly, etc. Thats not to say that what I’m hearing is outdated! Far from it. There just isn’t anything this good today to compare it to." - Neo-Zine

The Alexandria Kleztet

The Alexandria Kleztet is an exciting and innovative klezmer band from the
Washington/Baltimore area. By combining traditional Jewish forms with modern
influences from jazz, rock, classical, and world music, they have created a
new "alternative klezmer" sound that is both unique and enjoyable. Check out
their CD, Y2Klezmer.
Exciting and innovative, The Alexandria Kleztet has been combining traditional Eastern European/Jewish music with diverse influences for more than a decade. New arrangements of traditional melodies and original songs by members of the band draw upon jazz, classical, world beat, rock and other musical genres to create a unique and entertaining sound.
The band is based in the Washington/Baltimore area and has performed throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, including annual appearances at the Kennedy Center and regular concerts at the Peabody Institute. They began touring internationally in 2007 with an appearance at the Semanas Musicales festival in Chile.

Philippe Alexandre Blisle

The music of Philippe-Alexandre Bélisle started to be heard at Theater
plays. He is in fact well knowned in the Montreal amateur theater
community as a comedian and a musician. His most recognize work has
been on "Les Perses d'Echyle", "Les Oiseaux d'Aristophane", "En
Attendant Godot de Samuel Beckett", "Six Personnages en quête d'auteur
de Luigi Pirandello", "Zoo Story" d'Edwards Albee" ..
"I like to think that my musical influences comes from all the great film music composers like: Hans Zimmer, Vangelis, Cliff Martinez, Clint Mansell, Eric Serra... to name a few! Those composers all use synthesizers to create their original score. Then, as budget and time permit, they translate it to an orchestrated version with poignant results."
"The fact that you cannot categorize my music without compromising it's accessibility is something that is original in itself. My music crosses established stylistic boundaries and blends flavors from various genres without becoming elusive."
