AUTOMAG

Automag was formed in 1996 in the rural tobacco farming area of Johnston County, North Carolina. With an arsenal of hard rock, heavy metal and Southern rock, the boys set out into the North Carolina music scene as an obvious outsider. The music ranges from country style ballads to harsh in your face metal and rock. Initially, many thought the stylistic genre melding would be an issue for audiences who were used to knowing exactly what they were getting.

Metal bands only play metal. Southern rock bands only play Southern rock. Automag has made this type of diversity their trademark and has found a much wider audience than many had originally expected. “A show should have more than one flavor to it. It’s like a roller coaster, you need to build up to a climax, go over the top of the hill ,and then start climbing the next hill” state’s the group’s signer/guitarist Quinn. “We want to have more than one hill on our ride. There’s no rules to what we do. We’re only interested in making music that we find entertaining and interesting.”

PICASSO OF MESS

PICASSO OF MESS has been playing together for the last 6 years and have achieved numerous goals while creating some of the most blisteringly heavy music along the way.

With two albums released to date PICASSO OF MESS is aiming even higher with their third release. The new album is entitled A BROKEN SMILE BENEATH HER WHISPERED WINGS and it was recorded and produced in London, Ontario with producer Reiner Weichmann at MOLE studios. PICASSO OF MESS achieved number 1 status at numerous college and university stations accross north america with their first two albums, and are looking to expand even further than that with the release of A BROKEN SMILE BENEATH HER WHISPERED WINGS.

We always walk at the front of the stage and meet as many people as possible.We never use the backstage, we don’t see any sense in it. This is a tradition we will continue for as long as feasibly possible. We describe our music as P.O.W.B. Pissed Off White Boy.

Heavy grooves, bashing polyrhythms and hypnotizing melodies: since 2002 the Amsterdam based band Obsidian is gushing out it’s unique style of deathmetal unto the world. Obsidian has already played big Dutch venues like the Melkweg and Paradiso in Amsterdam, the Mezz in Breda and the P60 in Amstelveen, supporting bands like Textures and Gorefest.
