Peacework
We have gone out of our way to ensure that the artist is under no pressure
from us. They have full creative control of all aspects of their music and
the package they put it in. We are here to represent them and their work,
not (as is usual in the music industry) to make them conform to our standard.
This, you will find, results in not only more unique music, but exciting and
vibrant music with a life of its own . . . far superior to the cookie cutter
soulless sounds the major labels are peddling today.

Nobody Records

Nobody Records is an open minded indie label with a current focus on
Halloween soundscapes and songs. The label "sound" is
Heavey Mellow - a term coined form the mopehead stuff. Nobody Records is the record
label for the band Rain Station, and solo artists, Mitch, mopehead, Beth Eyre, as well as
many more fine artists. They also are huge supporters of Halloween Music and produce and distribute a
special Halloween compilation CD every year!
Visit them today and tell Mark Harvey that the EvO:R Guy sent ya!

To Hyperdisc

Hyperdisc records, located in sunny Santa Monica California, is the brainchild
of acclaimed producer and composer Daisuke Hinata. The label was
founded by Hinata, his American partner Jonathan Platt and his
Japanese partners Setsuko Yamashiro, Shinnosuke Sorimachi, and
Takao Nanjo. In November 1995, after starting the record label
they opened a record store and coffee shop on Santa Monica's busy
Main street, and produced an album called The Sounds of Santa Monica,
as a tribute and promotional tool for their new home. hyperdisc has
been a thriving source of the best in local and international music
ever since.

ARTIFICIAL RECORDS
Hit Media Inc was incorporated in November 1994 by Derek Sivers to include his booking agency and recording studio business.
When he started CD Baby in March 1998, a bank teller suggested he just make it a DBA of Hit Media Inc instead of spending the $100 to set up a new company.
Alas, that horrible decision cost $3.3 million later, but that's a different story, and that's how we learn.
When CD Baby was sold to Disc Makers in August 2008, it was done as an “asset sale”, which means Hit Media Inc now owns nothing, even though the corporation still exists.
And so here we are with an empty website, and not much to say.

in establishing a presence on the Web -- and to sell their product. We call
these subscribers "Affiliates. There is no cost for the membership.
And the only things required are a finished retail-ready product, a press
kit with loads of "content" and pictures, and published reviews

K Records

In describing KR to a friend, you might say: Hit the streets to the motorbike beat of the cranked and crush crashpop. Raise the standard and hail: a revolution come and gone behind your eyes. Blood and sand and sidewalk. Radio blast the punk pop implosion that is the new breed: a bee in your bonnet, love in a goldfish bowl, zombie rockin behind the iron curtain. Hey, love rocker, pull on your slacks and Mexican army boots, get ready for some sonic pogo action. Jazz the glass, here they come, screaming and clawing, scooters and dune buggies roaring. Bless. Can you dig it? KR Collaborators. King loser and teenage underground. Screech and saw. Buzz. Cut. Spin. Slice. Crush. Squirt. Sweaty basement rock and rule. A crown of barbed wire for your hooded throne. Lose it on the ball and chain.

Kill Rock Stars

KRS was started in 1991 by Slim Moon, who ran the company until October 2006, when he left to become Senior Director of A&R at Nonesuch Records. We at KRS want to thank Slim for creating such an amazing record label and putting out albums that were important in all our lives. Slim rules!
KRS's mission is to continue putting out exceptional records by important artists, and our tradition of being queer-positive, feminist, and artist-friendly continues as well. We are now distinguished by being one of the few female-run indie labels in the US, which we are proud of, but all that really means is get out there and start your record labels, ladies! (Check out our FAQ page or click here for a great guide to starting your own label). At KRS we believe in doing it yourself, and we see our job as helping bands to realize their visions. In a culture that rewards making mediocre music with a quick buck, we feel lucky that we get to work with artists who challenge mediocrity on a regular basis. Plus we love the music. Enjoy!

Jade Tree

Jade Tree took shape and started to release records. In 1992, Jade Tree was very
fortunate to cross paths with the folks at the highly regarded independent
distributor Mordam Records. With the release of our 4th record, Swiz's "With
Dave" 7", Jade Tree was picked up by Mordam to be exclusively distributed worldwide.
10 years, and 54 releases later, we have seen Jade Tree expand more then they had
ever expected. With no signs of slowing down, you can bet we will be cranking
out records well into the next millennium.
