Sonny LaRosa and America's Youngest Jazz Band recently won a gold medal at the International Music Festival and they were also the youngest jazz band ever to be invited to perform at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.

For those who don't know me, I'm David Cooper. I'm a native Texan living in Arlington. I've been here most of my life, except for military duty. I've traveled to many states, lived in some for nearly 18 months but, I always seem to find myself coming back to Texas. I've played with several bands and orchestras. Moonlite Express, Southbound, The Lucky Rangers, and the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra. In 1994, I was voted the "Fiddle Player of the Year" by the Metroplex Country Music Association and received the "Homer Logan Award." Mostly I play country music, but my true love isn't country. I do like blues, rock, new age and jazz.
