Matthew Cook
Change can be difficult and one of life’s most challenging lessons is learning to roll with it and find ways to make the outcome for the better. One of the most important things we can do for others in our lives is to help them see the positive side of whatever changes they may be going through at the time. Matthew Cook is an artist whose music speaks honestly and openly about working through change in his life.
He was blessed with a grandchild with Down Syndrome and wrote ‘Trisomy 21’ in support of the lad and the changes this would bring in his family’s lives. The song has been a source of support and comfort for other parents of Down Syndrome children.
Change is constant and how we deal with it has a direct relationship to our quality of life. Matthew Cook’s music expresses a raw and emotional commentary on some of life’s changes that affect many of us.

Ruthie Foster
Ruthie Foster's songs contain elements of blues, gospel, country and folk that give color
and texture to her vocal work and fill those who hear her music with great joy. Her
strong, vibrant voice and her easy, friendly manner instantly charm audiences of all ages.
Raised in Gause, Texas, a small town 180 miles southeast of Dallas, Ruthie grew up
surrounded by the rich, soulful sounds of gospel and blues. Her outstanding voice and
superb original music have many influences including Sam Cooke, Mahalia Jackson, Sister
Rosetta Thorpe, Sarah Vaughn, Etta James, and Lightnin' Hopkins, although perhaps none
have had the influence of her mother, Shirley Jones, who urged her to "Open your mouth
and sing, girl!"

Nicki Sutherland

Nicki was originally trained in classical piano. She began using her musical background
to teach herself to play the guitar and together with that, she started writing songs.
Exposed to the emotion of those first few songs, friends of Nicki's convinced her to
perform at a local pub's open mic night. That performance opened the door for her to
start playing on a regular basis at area bars, coffee shops and music festivals.
In little over a year Nicki was nominated for 'Best Female Vocalist' in a 1998 reader
pole in Columbus's local arts and leisure newspaper.

Jeza

Jeza's soothing voice has mellowed with time, and taken on a comforting,
avuncular tone. It blends well with the lethargic Latin rhythms and relaxing New Age
atmospheres of these songs.. Listen.com....
" I also love to play live and have treaded water in that arena for many years,
but I am not of the opinion that that is the most effective way to reach a
large international audience. Even if it's only one person at a time "..

Jazza Diction
Jazza Diction is dedicated to the proposition that music can be entertaining,
thought-provoking, literate, challenging and fun. These vetaran musicians, poets and
composers craft song and spoken word odysseys driven by a melting pot of jazz, blues,
rock, funk, folk, reggae and ethnic, giving loving nods to the spirits of Ginsberg,
Kerouac, Waits, Marley, Hendrix and Miles Davis. Their music defies genrefication . . .
which is why they invented the word "Jazza." Jazza is music, Daddy-O! The basic elements
are similar to jazz in that there is a fundamental rythym structure that never changes
and there is always at least one musical part that is consistent.

Clearly, one of the most impressive acts to come along in years...EvO:R

Roberto Luz on EvO:R
The sound of Roberto Luz´s flute has echoed sweetly off the volcanos for many years.
His music is an eclectic mix of sounds from many cultures, designed to transport
you to different planes of reality. The uses a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments
to help his flute take you to the desired place. I really can't say what style it is,
because it seems like every tune has it's own life and can sound like anything.
My basic approach is kind of visual…. What I want to do is to transport people into
different levels of consciousness and different places in the mindscape, and make
them dance at the same time. I imagine the place that I want to take you to and
then provide the music that would probably play in that place. You just have to fill
in the visuals.
Carey Colvin
What do you get when you take a dash of blues, rock-edged pop,
and pop-influenced contemporary folk? You get an effervescent
concoction of "Stuff You Like!" Carey Colvin plays her own special
mix of award-winning tunes with an intensity and intimacy that draws in audiences everywhere.
"Carey's voice is as bright and clear as a ringing bell. Her enthusiastic approach to music is quite
evident in each song on The Distance Wall...she is destined for bigger things." -

Andy Gorwell

Andy's mix of desert dry drawl and sweet harmony rides along
nicely with the stripped back production and earthy tone on
this his most accessible collection of songs to date. The songs
are simple and to the point, and have a definite air of authenticity
and classic country about them. Guest appearances by the legendary
Ed Bates (Pedal Steel), as well as numerous other bumpkins help
decorate this album with different flavours, colours and textures
which will see many more people than just hardcore country fans
getting into this record. Picture an afternoon spent in the warm
sun, sitting back in your favourite chair, sipping a cold beverage
and listening to what is soon to be your favourite roots album,
spinning away nicely in the background, telling you 'all is well'
back at the ranch.

Louis Lamp
Anything but restrained, there is still an obvious cadence to the melodies that can be
felt as well as heard, leaving the listener wanting more but not sure they could handle
even a note beyond what they’ve already heard. This album both soothes and energizes
the listener with a passion that has seldom been heard in any genre, let alone new age.
It’s in your hands now and now it’s your turn to play a part in musical history by giving
this album the attention it deserves, encouraging Louis Lamp to give more of his talent
to the world in the form of more music, more albums.
