How Did We Get Here
by Castella
Our Price: $9.99 CD / $8.99 MP3 Album Download
Usually ships in 1-2 days
Ryan Andrew began writing and recording demos in the Spring of 2006 for what would become Castella’s debut album, “How Did We Get Here.” After recording a couple tracks with Portland/L.A. producer Rob Daiker, a demo began floating around and somehow landed in the hands of producer Joe Chiccarelli (The Shins, U2, Beck, etc…) Joe immediately called Ryan for a meeting in Portland and soon after plans were under way for making a record. Ryan contacted bassist Craig Montoya (formerly of Everclear), and guitarist Kevin Hahn, two Portland rockers who were playing in Montoya’s solo project Tri-Polar. The boys instantly hit it off and spent the next few months rehearsing, recording, and hanging out together. The result is a rock band that captivates and commands your attention with songs like “Alone Tonight,” a triumphant rock anthem where Andrew’s soaring vocal range leaves the listener with no choice but to chant the ending lyric, “We won’t be alone tonight,” along with the rest of the band. Montoya and Hahn bring on some raw smack you in the face attitude on the the assaulting grunge rocker, “Turn Up Your Radio.” Castella also displays how truly
dynamic they are as Andrew’s lamenting vocals melt you on the chilling ballad, “Shame.” With the combination of seasoned musicianship,
compellingly brave song writing, and world class production, the bold and epic new band Castella has been born.

It's like Radiohead, U2 and Bob Dylan all got together for breakfast, decided to adopt a baby boy, called it Enation, and then left it to fend for itself.
Enation has headlined shows at the world famous Whisky A-Go-Go and The Troubadour (among many other renowned clubs), and has built an international fan base selling thousands of albums at home and abroad, most recently being prominently featured on the hit CW TV show "One Tree Hill" with the title track from their new album "World In Flight" being played on the show as well as the song and collaborative EP "Feel This" (performed by Bethany Joy Galeotti featuring Enation). "Feel This" had an immediate response: the single went to #8 on the I-Tunes Rock Charts, and the EP debuted #1 on the CD Baby Top Sellers list (one of the largest independent music outlets in the world.)

Dynamo
by Faded Paper Figures
Our Price: $9.99 CD / $9.99 MP3 Album Download
Usually ships in 1-2 days
Faded Paper Figures began, like all great endeavors, as a side-project. Writing songs between dissertation chapters and frenetic bouts of southern California traffic, John (vocals/guitars) and Kael (guitars/keys/machines) were simply looking for an aesthetic and rigorous diversion. Two or three songs into the process, however, things started sounding incredible--much too good to have come from Kael's apartment bedroom. Eventually Heather (additional vocals/keys) began adding some beautiful harmonies, and FPF became the brilliant blend of indie-tronic pop that dazzles on every track in their debut album, "Dynamo."

Hollywood based post-grunge,alt-rock band Ceesau is a hard-hitting trio with a punk aesthetic, soaring melodies and artfully crafted songs built for the masses.
Honestly, when I first heard about Ceesau I wasn't sure if they were actually going to be as good as my friend said they were. And well Ceesau ended up blaring on my Ipod just as much as Jimi Hendrix and other goods like The Pixies. Loved it and waiting for some new tunes.

The Darkened Room offers the listener music which is at once both adventurous yet still uniquely IZZ.
There is zero wanking on this disc. Purposeful music. The 1st wave prog bands have more in common with IZZ in terms of the completeness of their approach, than much of the current prog scene. Buy this disc, then go back and have a listen to the rest. Then go twitter or something. Phil Nomore

The Sky Is Falling
by Days Before Tomorrow
Our Price: $10.99 CD
Usually ships in 1-2 days
Why purchase the physical CD instead of a digital download?
So you don't miss out on the amazing 24-page color booklet illustrated by artist Steven Bentley! If you think the cover art is cool, just wait until you read the concept story inside and look at the great illustrations!
Probably the most misunderstood label you can slap on a rock band today is to call them progressive rock. So many people have such different opinions of what the description means that almost nobody thinks of the same thing when they hear it! But Days Before Tomorrow certainly fit their own description of this label.

Incoherent With Desire To Move On (EP)
by MWK

Powerful guitar riffs with catchy, full vocal melodies.
Not being from the midwest, I missed the Kings in their touring days, but caught on as a result of David Cook's success. This CD is great, as is the digital download Luna Espierta(sp?). And you should try To Have Heroes (Andy's solo project)and of course David Cook (the record). These guys are fantastic live too. Anodyne is to die for! Thanks David, for introducing the world to your friends and music.
