This sounds so much like their first 3 classic albums, that I find it a shame that
this album didnt push back to the top like it should have. This disc ROCKS, period.
It's as good as
anything they ever did. Who would have thought
in 1997 they could sound this great. It has remained in heavy rotation in my player. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

An expertly assembled eleven song collection of slick, maddeningly infectious Hard Rock. Features Ronnie James Dio, Joe Lynn Turner, and Dee Snider.
Jeff Cannata and Michael Soldan had previously been in the popular Connecticut-based Prog band Jasper Wrath. Cannata played drums and Soldan played keyboards; both composed most of the group's songs. After Jasper Wrath's demise in 1976, Cannata and Soldan continued writing songs together. Cannata started working with guitar and keyboards more in order to develop his songwriting abilities. Cannata's manager David Wolff of Cindi Lauper fame presented some of the new compositions to the staff at CBS Records. CBS really liked what the duo were doing and Arc Angel was born. The only problem was that there was no live band to perform the songs. Cannata and Soldan got the idea to record the album with a large group of session musicians, similar to The Alan Parsons Project.
