      Time For Three
      by Time For Three
    Our Price: $15.99 CD
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
Founded in 1999 by three Curtis Institute of Music students intent on exploring repertoire that stretches far beyond the limits of convention, TIME FOR THREE burst onto the scene in July 2003, following a lightening-induced power failure at Philadelphia's Mann Center for the Performance Arts. Prompted by fellow orchestra members to entertain the audience while technicians attempted to restore onstage lighting, Ranaan Meyer and Zachary DePue obliged with an enthusiastically received impromptu jam session that included works as far afield from the originally scheduled Beethoven symphony as "Jerusalem's Ridge," "Ragtime Annie," and "The Orange Blossom Special."

Since this auspicious debut, the trio - made up of double bassist Ranaan Meyer and violinists Zachary DePue and Nicolas Kendall - has continued to dazzle audiences with its eclectic mix of bluegrass, Hungarian gypsy, jazz, country-western fiddling, classical, and improvisatory music.
Time For Three has built a reputation for transcending musical genres, presenting an eclectic mix of bluegrass, Hungarian gypsy, jazz, country-western fiddling, and improvisitory music founded on solid classical music training.

      by The Earl Brothers
    Our Price: $14.00 CD / $12.00 MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
It could be argued that a fourth generation of bluegrass musicians is beginning to appear, marked by a high level of technical skill demonstrated. Although it is too soon to see definite trends, the most notable fourth generation musician to emerge so far is probably Chris Thile, who released solo bluegrass albums at age 13 and 16 (Leading Off and Stealing Second), respectively), before reaching wider fame as a member of the bluegrass-influenced acoustic band Nickel Creek. Recently, however, Thile's claim to the throne of bluegrass "prince" has been challenged by Josh Pinkham, a Florida teenager who performed at "Merlefest" only 18 months after picking up a mandolin. Other notable recent bluegrass bands are The Earl Brothers, who fuse a traditional sound with innovative songwriting and lyrics atypical for bluegrass, and Colorado's Open Road, a traditional-sounding band with strong original material”.
A unique sound of original songs and instrumentals in the "Mountain Bluegrass Music Style" of honky tonk bluegrass. (3panel Digipack)

      by Andy Hall
    Our Price: $7.00 CD / $7.00 MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
Andy Hall plays and sings with excitement, passion, precision and a dynamic that is quickly establishing him as one of the top players in acoustic music today. A founding member of the acclaimed young bluegrass band, The Infamous Stringdusters, Hall won three IBMA awards with the group in 2007 (Best Album, Emerging Artist and Song of the Year) for their debut effort, Fork In The Road. Andy's 2008 Sugar Hill Release, The Sound Of the Slide Guitar, won the International Bluegrass Music Award for Instrumental Album Of the Year. His current 5 song self release, Aquafier, continues to push the boundaries of acoustic music.
A 5 song collection of modern Dobro music, featuring some of Andy's favorite musicians, inculding the Infamous Stringdusters. This album ranges from funk, to newgrass, to ambient electric, and includes one vocal feature.

      by Adam Hurt
    Our Price: $16.00 CD / $14.00 MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
Deemed a "banjo virtuoso" by the Washington Post, Adam Hurt draws on diverse musical influences from the North Carolina piedmont, the mountains of central West Virginia, the Ohio River Valley, and beyond to create his own elegantly innovative clawhammer banjo playing. At age 25, Adam has already placed in or won most of the major old-time banjo competitions including Clifftop, Mount Airy, and Galax, and won the state banjo championships of Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio, as well as the state fiddle championships of Virginia and Maryland. A respected teacher of traditional music, Adam has conducted banjo workshops at the Swannanoa Gathering, the Augusta Heritage Center, and Appalshop, among other venues around the country.

      26 Years
      by Allen Thompson
    Our Price: $12.00 CD / $9.99 MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
It is a rare occasion when the chapters of one’s life have clear-cut beginnings and ends. Oftentimes we must write new chapters ourselves in order to avoid stagnation. Sometimes, however, something so abrupt and dramatic will occur that it causes you to step back and realize that your childhood has ended and your life as an adult is about to begin. The songs contained herein deal with this period of life. They are real conversations with and about myself, folks I know, and a young man I will never know. Writing and recording these songs allowed me to come to terms with the end of my childhood and the beginning of the rest of my life. I hope you enjoy listening to this collection as much as I enjoyed making it, which was a lot. Thank You:

      Coming Home
      by Anne & Pete Sibley
    Our Price: $14.00 CD / $9.99 MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
For Anne and Pete it is the simplicity of the music: the words, the vocals, the harmonies. The storytelling and intimate nature of their originals has drawn in fans and encouraged the husband and wife duo to keep delivering. They aren’t afraid of making music that is personal, paring it down, being true to their instincts.

The audiences and the communities and the correspondence from their fans in five short years has made it so rewarding for the couple. Raised in New England singing in choirs, studying all types of music except folk and bluegrass, the Sibleys stumbled upon their true calling when they moved out West to the land of the Tetons. They consider this music the people’s music, nature’s music and they sing it freely and graciously.
"A husband and wife duo whose voices go together like milk and honey, Anne and Pete Sibley's 'Coming Home' is an album of honest, sweet melodies and close harmonies."

      Silver Stream
      by Rita Hosking
    Our Price: $15.00 CD / $11.00 MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
Rita Hosking is fast becoming a well known performer that blends bluegrass, country and folk into passionate sounds and stories. She was raised in the mountains of eastern Shasta County, Northern California, where she internalized dusty woodsheds, the scent of spring-water, forest fires and the troubles of rural economies. Her musical experience began as a child at church, and under the wings of an old time jug band made up of seasoned mountain characters. A descendant of Cornish miners who sang in the mines, Rita grew up with deep regard for folk music and the power of the voice.

On an old Gibson guitar her friends bought for her, Rita began composing songs at age 20. Still writing and now performing with her band “Cousin Jack”, Rita plays rootsy, bluegrass-mountain music of the West. “Her voice has that lonely, experienced voice of the mountain people, though her mountains were in Northern California.”—B. Hough for the California Bluegrass Association. “Her voice gripped me and did not let go,” –Joe Craven.
Americana mixture of bluegrass drive, old-time country, pure folk, and beautifully soulful, powerful, singing. Rooted in a mountain musical sense, Rita and her band Cousin Jack evoke the power of people and place.

      The Bee Eaters
      by The Bee Eaters
    Our Price: $15.00 CD
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
The Bee Eaters boasts four of the most accomplished, creative young talents of the new generation, tracing roots back to the musical traditions of Bluegrass, Old-time, Celtic, Jazz and Pop. The quartet combines the strong, striking music of hammered dulcimer virtuoso Simon Chrisman and banjo phenomenon Wes Corbett with the inimitable sound of brother-sister fiddle duo Tristan and Tashina Clarridge.

Tristan, an inventive cellist and 5-time Grand National Fiddle Champion, tours with Crooked Still and Darol Anger’s Republic of Strings and has performed with Mike Marshall, Bruce Molsky, and Cape Breton fiddle phenomenon Natalie MacMaster.
The Bee Eaters are a powerful creative force at the forefront of the emerging New Acoustic music scene. Their first record, produced by Darol Anger, was released in early 2009.
