I'm a pretty eclectic music fan, enjoy World music, and this CD really fits the bill....I really enjoyed the diversity of sounds, rhythms and feelings that the album imparts. It's truly an amazing conceptual undertaking for Jamie to not just travel to Africa, but to also find compatible musicians to record and share the prolific musical message. Truly a fusion of international musical discourse and understanding that also has a profound educational element

An eclectic troupe of tribal bellydancers and musicians, a contemporary family, urban berbers,

and dance with them as they traveled. Beginning on the Gypsy Trail in India, the Gypsies performed
traditional dances for the various communities they encountered, in Egypt through Algeria, Morocco,
Turkey, Greece, to Spain. Rhythms, costumes, and dance styles shaped Gypsy's lives as they migrated
from country to country. This migration into modern times is what continuously inspires the the Gypsy Caravan.

Muhazi
by Mighty Popo
Our Price: $14.00 CD
Usually ships in 1-2 days
Award winning album. Easy to listen, easy to dance to. African grooves meets Afro-Canadian experience.
You’d hardly be able to account for his effortless musicality as a member of the 2004 Juno Award winning African Guitar Summit,
the kudos received for his genre-busting solo work, his highlight performance at the Canadian edition of Bob Geldof’s
international Live 8 concerts (one of the few chosen for EMI’s Live 8 DVD) or his brilliant return to New Orleans for
CBC Radio’s Maple Leaf Mojo Meets New Orleans Gumbo benefit concert broadcast live across Canada.
En route to understanding Popo’s musical and career achievements, one would do well to consider how Africa and
Africans are often subjected to certain distortions in the public consciousness.?
