and adult contemporary favorites, that are often heard at wedding receptions. Although there are a few questionable
inclusions -- Gino Vannelli's "I Just Wanna Stop" seems like it wouldn't be often heard at weddings, and there are
better choices from Chaka Khan, Air Supply, and Taylor Dayne than the featured songs -- by and large Now & Forever
is a solid collection, offering a good primer of contemporary love songs. It will be too sappy for some tastes,
but many fans of soft rock and adult contemporary will find it an enjoyable collection even for casual listening,
since it contains such genre staples as "Here & Now," "Tonight I Celebrate My Love for You," "You're the Inspiration,

The good news is that, thanks to good auspices of WEA's Atlantic imprint, Ireland's Claddagh label is finally getting the
Stateside distribution it deserves. The bad news, if this compilation is any indicator, is that the folks in charge of
marketing at Atlantic may not be entirely clear on the nature of traditional Irish music. Do not be deceived by the title:
This is not a collection of songs suitable for playing at weddings. Unless, that is, you think that the young couple will be
encouraged by lines like "Love grows colder as it gets older/And fades away like morning dew" ("Love Is Teasing," sung beautifully
by Dolly McMahon) or by songs about scurrilous noblemen who get their mistresses pregnant and then leave them out in the cold with
their babies ("Lord Gregory," another fine McMahon performance). On the other hand, there are some lovely instrumentals here,
particularly piper Leo Rowsome's heroic rendition of the reel "Jenny's Wedding" and harper Derek Bell's stately "Little Molly
O/Love in Secret." Recommended, but primarily for individual consumption outside of any romantic context. ~ Rick Anderson

The only thing more touching than one wedding song is a dozen heart warmers scripted for that most special occasion. The inclusion of Ashford & Simpson's "Solid As a Rock" may be too up-tempo and rhythmic for the occasion, but different strokes for different folks. More appropriate are Luther Vandross' "Here and Now," Roberta Flack and Peabo Bryson's "Tonight I Celebrate My Love," Heatwave's "Always and Forever," and "Best of Love" by Mona Lisa. This works better as a honeymoon album; while some songs miss the mark as typical wedding songs, all are apropos for starry-eyed committed lovers. ~ Andrew Hamilton
