Within Temptation offers BLACK SYMPHONY, a spectacular visual feast captured here on DVD. Recorded in front of a capacity crowd at
the Ahoy, Rotterdam, on February 7, 2008, SYMPHONY sees Within Temptation performing a 22-song set with the renowned Metropole
Orchestra and special guests Keith Caputo (Life of Agony), Anneke van Giersbergen (The Gathering), and George Oosthoek (Orphanage).
Bonus features include a documentary, two backstage features, and a CD containing 13 highlights from the magical performance.
Within Temptation's most ambitious staging to date, Black Symphony was a unique concert at Rotterdam's Ahoy Arena on February 7,
2008 sold out months in advance. Within Temptation performed to 10,000 fans with the 60-piece Metropole Orchestra and a 20-voice
classical choir, as well as on-stage stilt performers, costume changes, and an array of stunning pyrotechnic and lighting effects.
The colossal production extended to Europe's largest video screen reaching across the entire width of the stage, and 14 full HD
cameras. Special guests on the night included Keith Caputo, Anneke van Giersbergen, and George Oosthoek.

The American version of THE SILENT FORCE features two bonus tracks ("Destroyed" and "Jane Doe") not available on the European edition.
Available in the U.S. for the first time in 2008, Dutch symphonic rock heroes Within Temptation's 2004 epic, THE SILENT FORCE,
continued the band's incomparable blend of classical, New Age, opera, and heavy metal music. In addition, the latter-day prog rockers'
fourth studio release topped the charts all over Europe and scored two major singles ("Stand My Ground" and "Memories").
"The Silent Force" is an exhilarating listen - a monument of opulent melodies, sweeping orchestral elements and tremendous power.
Like their European counterparts Nightwish and Opeth, they have intertwined an otherworldly sound with a slow, brewing power that
is like a classical symphony of old. The band was formed in 1996 by guitarist Robert Westerholt and singer Sharon den Adel.
Their single "Ice Queen" reached number 1 on both the Nederlandse and Belgian charts in 2002.
Their "Mother Earth" album went
platinum in The Netherlands and gold in Belgium. Fans of Nightwish, Lacuna Coil 7, Evanescence will want to investigate their sound.
Crackle: The Best Of Bauhaus CD

CRACKLE is the second of Bauhaus' greatest-hits albums, following the import-only 1979-1983. The major difference between
the two sets is that CRACKLE eliminates most of the cover versions that appeared on the earlier collection. The track listing
draws from Bauhaus' entire career-from the defining first single, "Bela Lugosi's Dead," all the way through "She's In Parties"
and the title track of the band's final album, BURNING FROM THE INSIDE. All tracks have been remastered. This is especially
evident on the band's earliest work. "Dark Entries" and "Double Dare" are afforded a cleaner sound, adding to their power.
The lone cover included is a version of "Ziggy Stardust," a David Bowie classic that clearly influenced the band. Though
they will always be labeled as founding forefathers of the "Goth" rock movement, Bauhaus were never constrained by the label.
"Terror Couple Kill Colonel" features a gentle, swaying groove. "Silent Hedges" is built on a foundation of acoustic guitar
and a chunky, distorted bass line. "Spirit" features dueling guitars and a harpsichord.
The collection concludes with one of
the band's most emotive tracks, "Crowds," a pretty piano-based song wherein tortured vocalist Peter Murphy wonders
"What do you want of me?"
Call Of The Mastodon CD

In 2006, Mastodon followed up its magnum opus, LEVIATHAN, with a collection of early recordings entitled CALL OF THE
MASTODON. Although fans of the adventurous Georgia-based metal band may have been initially disappointed at the lack of
a new studio album, CALL admirably reveals the group's beginnings by presenting the crushingly heavy LIFESBLOOD EP
in its entirety, along with other formative tracks such as the mammoth "Deep Sea Creature," which pummels listeners
with pile-driving rhythms, unrelenting riffage, and throat-shredding vocals. CALL shows that as monumentally heavy
as the band would become, Mastodon were never anything less.

Goth-punk firebrands AFI follow up their smash 2006 effort, DECEMBERUNDERGROUND, with the propulsive blast of alterna-glam that
is 2009's CRASH LOVE. Sticky with epic swaths of melodic rock and just enough swaggering goth-itude to please the emo-tweens, CRASH LOVE
is less mannered than its predecessor and reveals a band exploding with a creative power pop and metal spark. Though lead singer Davey
Havok's glitter-goth persona is well intact, it seems tempered here with a bit more punkish muscle and '80s pop croon. These songs have
madly obsessive hooks along with a sparkling production that never sacrifices the hard rock energy at the core of each song. In that
sense, such tracks as "Too Shy to Scream," with its tribal drumbeat homage to Adam Ant's "Goody Two Shoes," and the swooning romantic
anthem "Veronica Sawyer Smokes" come as double ice cream scoops of sugary rock bliss. Think equal parts solo Morrissey and the Raspberries.

Somewhere between opera and Metallica lies Dutch goth-metal juggernaut Within Temptation. With ethereal banshee Sharon
Den Adel on vocals and a bed of string-laden orchestration, Within Temptation has constructed a shockingly popular
(at least in their home country) storm of gaudy, complex rock.
Their platinum second album,
MOTHER EARTH, contains their greatest commercial triumph, the smash single "Ice Queen," a steamroller of strings, synths,
