by Janet Klein & Her Parlor Boys
    Our Price: $15.00 CD / $8.00 MP3 Album Download

The enchanting ukulele chanteuse, Janet Klein and her intriguing gentlemen pals, the Parlor Boys, perform 23 Late Ragtime and Early Jazz-Age tunes as well as 1920s jazz-styled Hawaiian numbers and French and Amercian speakeasy songs.

Sweet and sexy like a classic showgirl, evoking the vamps of the silent era, Janet Klein coos gloriously sweet numbers such as "You're A Heavenly Thing" and "Cooking Breakfast For the One I Love" and flirts and teases with naughty songs such as " The Physician","Nasty Man" and "I'm No Angel".
Obscure, Naughty & Lovely songs from the 1910s, 20s and 30s. Soulful, rustic, and authentically inspired interpretations of early 20th century novelty and hot-jazz tunes.

      We Make 'Em Say Ooh
      by Mama Digdown's Brass Band
    Our Price: $12.97 CD / $9.99 MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
Mama Digdown’s Brass Band has been hard at work for over a decade making great big music in little ol’ Madison, Wisconsin. Their vibrant mix of authentic New Orleans style brass band bravado and street-born bump and grit has earned them the respect of fellow musicians and fans alike across the country.

The album works its way between classic New Orleans style street parade music, complete with shout choruses and serious jazz influences, to more laid back, hip hop inspired riffs. On the funky, fun opening track “High Heel Sneakers (Red Dress)," for instance, the group starts the shindig right with uptempo grooves and huge presence, while later on they kick back with a good drink with the slick "Mojito." The title track is definitely a stand-out as well, composed by Walter Ramsey and The Stooges Brass Band, and featuring that infectiously joyous style of group-shout-singing present throughout the album
We Make ‘Em Say Ooh proves why Mama Digdown's is one of the hottest brass bands on the scene today. The band lets loose with mostly original tracks that epitomize the brass band genre--loud riffing horns, rhythmic swagger and back-and-forth chants.

      All Fogged Up!
      by Fog City Stompers
    Our Price: $15.00 CD
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
The Fog City Stompers have been playing since 1985. In addition to the great old standards, which include arrangements of the recordings of Bix Beiderbecke, they offer original compositions and new arrangements.

      A Night At Red Arrow
      by Franz Jackson
    Our Price: $20.00 CD
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
Jackson was one of the last musicians to have learned Chicago jazz from its originators. His first professional gig in his 70-plus year career was with stride pianist Albert Ammons in 1929; he was 16. His career continued through the 30’s and 40’s with such jazz luminaries as Albert Ammons, Carroll Dickerson, Jimmy Noone, Walter Barnes, Roy Eldridge, Fletcher Henderson, Benny Carter, Earl Hines, Fats Waller, Cab Calloway and James P. Johnson. He replaced icon Ben Webster in Henderson’s and Eldridge’s bands and also won attention for big band compositions and arrangements for Benny Goodman, Cab Calloway and Jack Teagarden for CBS.
Traditional Chicago Jazz recorded live at the Red Arrow Night Club in 1961. Franz Jackson and his Original Jass All-Stars epitomize the genre of traditional jazz.

      Traditionally Speaking
      by Jack Brass Band
    Our Price: $13.00 CD / $9.99 MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
The liner notes really do paint the picture needed to understand the music, and this recording - the third by the Jack Brass Band... "New Orleans Music is a gift, a blessing, a treasure. The brassy notes and syncopated rhythms passed down from generation to generation.

New Orleans Music is taught, literally, on the streets. Younger musicians march shoulder-to-shoulder with older musicians who once stood in those same shoes, parading side-by-side with their musical mentors. It’s the way we’ve all learned this incredible Musical Tradition for decades…centuries. From father to son, Uncle to nephew, teacher to student.
This 3rd CD has them paying homage to traditional New Orleans Jazz, and brass bands - liner notes and kudos by the director of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

      Saratoga Shout
      by Reggie's Red Hot Feetwarmers
Our Price: $15.00 CD / no MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
Saratoga Springs is a small town in upstate New York famous for its mineral baths, its Revolutionary War battleground, the Gary Cooper/Jean Harlowe movie Saratoga Trunk and the laid-back artsy feel it has 11 months of the year. But come the end of July, the famous Saratoga Racetrack begins its season -- a tradition since 1863. Everybody from the $2 bettor from Schenectady to society queen Marylou Whitney roll into town and the party begins. Reggie’s Red Hot Feetwarmers are right there in the middle of it, strolling through the track by day and playing the clubs by night, the unmistakable upbeat sound of New Orleans Jazz filling the air.

      Happy Feet
      by Reggie's Red Hot Feetwarmers
    Our Price: $15.00 CD
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
The Feetwarmer's second CD release, "Happy Feet" is a generous 60 minute gallop through 19 lively standards and obscure chestnuts that make up the band's repertoire. Piano great Fats Waller, Duke Ellington and Irving Berlin are all represented on this album. Music from the early jazz days of Bing Crosby, traditional New Orleans Jazz and three songs rooted in Jug Band music also appear on "Happy Feet."

Adding a colorful presence to the album is Katherine Kramer, one of the country's most well-know tap dancers. Her percussive tapping on the title tune, "Happy Feet" and on Fats Waller's "Say It With Your Feet" recall the fancy footwork of Fred Astaire who recorded with jazz bands in the 1930's and 1940's.
