Caterine: Fear-Pain-Love, Lost and Found
By Review
"Caterine: Fear-Pain-Love" is the second solo release by former Sacred Rite guitarist,
Jimmy Caterine. Sacred Rite made waves in Hawaii in the mid 1980's. With Fear-Pain-Love
Caterine embraces the sound of Sacred Rite mixed with his newly found abstract creativity.
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) January 21, 2005 -- Rock guitarist, Jimmy Caterine, releases "Caterine:
Fear-Pain-Love" following the disasters that inundated the world beginning Dec. 26, 2004
which have caused fear and pain to millions but have also caused us to put aside our
political differences in a show of love for mankind.
Jimmy Dee Caterine is best known as the founder of underground heavy metal outfit from
Hawaii, Sacred Rite. In the years since Sacred Rite’s demise, Caterine continued playing
and recording but spent 2000-2003 recovering from several mishaps, including a severe
car accident.
Fear-Pain-Love is the guitarists second solo release, even though it was intended to be
his first. His original basic tracks for the project were recorded in the mid 90’s but in
’97, when he prepared to complete the project, the master tapes turned up missing. His
reaction to this dilemma caused him to create an altogether different disc, Cognition,
which indicates that Caterine has the gift of vision. Freelance writer Michael Popke
stated in a review that, “Caterine’s fluid sense of melody and exceptional flair for aural
details borders on the miraculous.”
Now with the help of modern technology, Jimmy Caterine has been able to piece together
rough mixes and whatever could be found on digital audio tape (DAT). He cranked up his
400 watt stack as he emoted and shred out some of his best lead guitar work to bring
closure to a project that was envisioned almost 10 years ago. Fear-Pain-Love is it’s
original title, yet it is given new meaning by the most recent world events. Jimmy Caterine
is an idealist and in his world of idealism he hopes that one day the world won’t need
disasters to bring people together. Caterine himself is noted as saying, “Hate may sell
but love conquers all.”
"Caterine: Fear-Pain-Love" will be available from most of the major outlet’s that carry
independent music, including CD Baby, Amazon, PeaceWorkMusic.Net, Guitar9 Records and
Caterine’s own label, Caterine Music.
