Frank Cotolo on EvO:R
Many years ago when EvO;R was just starting out, radio personality Frank Cotolo contacted me about joining our
small organization. Frank gave EvO:R instant credibility because of his radio history and I gladly added him
to our pages. What I didn't expect was Frank's excitement and ability to encourage others.
Frank has provided a wealth of information and knowledge
to our group and I am equally proud just to call him "my friend".

Bio & Information
Frank Cotolo on EvO:R...
Few, if any, internet-based performers are as prolific or versatile as Frank Cotolo.
Soon he will celebrate his 40th anniversary as a professional creative entity (PCE to you).
After almost four decades, he continues to produce material as a songwriter, author, poet,
lyricist and an award-winning journalist at a breakneck pace because, he says, "somebody
has to do it."
His many incarnations over the decades have astounded reviewers, spiritualists,
quick-change artists and certainly other performers. While most internet-based artists
are struggling to complete their next track, Cotolo pulls CDs out of his hat, often
changing voices and styles quicker than a rat can scale a palm tree.
There is not one medium Cotolo hasn't been involved with professionally on some
level in his storied career and this is something no other internet-based artist
can claim. Even as you read this he is breaking ground on internet radio with a
unique program, the Cotolo Chronicles, as well as he writes a madcap ever-growing
popular daily column and prepares his new ad hoc group, Henry Morgan and The High
Grass Boys (with Kevin Proctor and Larry Michelich) for personal appearances.
Ampcast has released his newest CD,
The King Of Monkey Island, and three more projects, Folk Me, And The Horse I Rode In On and
Smoke And Mirrors, are in various stages of production. New collaborative productions
appear in league with the talented Don Semco. He has his second book of fiction, Flies
To Wanton Boys, in the works, and is one of the most sought after solo artists at EvO:R.
Read his outrageous and unpredictable daily columns, stories and thought-corruptions
at the Indie Journal Daily and don't be surprised if he shows up at your door one day
asking to share a sandwich with you. Keep up with his variety of antics by getting on
his email list by emailing him at cotolo@comcast.net.
Cotolo Chronicles
Cotolo returns to the airwaves to put the internet music
community in its place. Frank takes matters of the new technology apart, digit by digit,
turns the indie music community upside down and addresses contemporary
topics with a fiery flick of a tongue and a torrid turn of a phrase. Humor,
controversy, honesty and audacity are weapons he uses with dead accuracy.

The King Of Monkey Island
(KOMI) my long-touted, year-plus, all-digital
CD, was officially released through Ampcast on July 4 2002 and is now available.
I would love to be wealthy enough to comp a CD to every last person who has
supported my KOMI efforts over this long haul, but, alas, I am not. Nor am I
comped with more than one copy from the distributors.

Folk Me
Frank explores and wallows in the guts of melody and lyric, divorcing his
personal approach to songwriting and calling on the spirits of the fundamental giants of
musical folklore to do his bidding. It is, a step forward for Frank,
52, the songwriter. "Old masters sometimes pare their statements down stylistically to
attain the mythic or universal....."
