The Bill Carrera CD Reviews
Welcome to the EvO:R Carrera Reviews Section.
I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Bill
Carrera and I am the new music reviewer here at Evor. I wanted to let you know a little
about my thoughts on music. It's important to let the people that I review know how I
think of and listen to music. First of all I believe that if your music sucks then
the world should know about it! After all, you have the nerve to charge as much for
your stuff as the majors do so it better be pretty damn good, and if it is, I'll also
tell the world. I'll hold nothing back!

Review of the Life Without Light Project by TL2
The music of TL2 ranges from heavy metal to ambient, then throw in a
little dance mix for flavor and you have at least a sketch of what to
expect. TL2 specializes in maximizing his lusch soundscapes while
maintaining his Do it Yourself roots. "I pride myself with the
$100,000 sound on a $1,000. budget".."it takes a lot of pre planning
and some real luck to pull everything together but in the end it comes
down to nothing more than a good song that carries the weight."
More about TL2
Below are reviews from other members of EvO:R..
This is NOT a Bill Carerra Review!
I am very fond of the music, especially the guitar riffs and jazzy,
radical melodies. TL2 is not just talented for their music but for
many other great deeds that they have persued. TL2 has put an unbelievable
amount of time, patience, and effort into making this website a complete
success. As the founder of this magnificent musical site, TL2..aka..
(Charlie Harrleson), has been keeping the site updated, and responding to
EvO:R musicians and fans! Also aside from EvO:R, TL2 has been continuing
to make music and pleasing fans. As the founder, Charlie is not
just a talented musician, but also a supportive man by helping other
talented musicians with becoming successful and even meeting and jamming
with some .....Fragile Fear
It is somewhat a challenging task to review the music of TL2.
Especially when in some capacity you know about "Charlie Harrelson",
the man behind the music. I have seen and known very few that have loved
music and given it as much as Charlie has. I may not listen to TL2 songs
everyday, but no TL2 song will ever get turned off once it is on. Why?
Give it a listen. I have returned to many people trying to define the song
Split-n-2. Responses ranged from "the best PlayStation music ever", to a
"Slash-like solo towards the end", to a simple "one word: determination".
I can easily say that Split-n-2 is my favorite. It has that quality that
lets it fit under many categories that would satisfy a
listeners mood....Omar
TL2 is a project of EVO:R's founder, the tasteful and resourceful guitarist
Charlie Harrelson, featuring his melodic guitar playing. I see similarities
between this and Wes Montgomery's later music that set the stage for players
like Earl Klugh. The guitars sound nice, with variety in the tones and
recorded with care– Charlie obviously loves a good sounding guitar as much
as I do....Lou Lasher
Without a doubt, your an all around master on the guitar. Most axe men are
only good at "ripping it up" or their "slow and smooth" you are both, and
all that's in between, and it's displayed throughout this disc. As a musician
I'm in aw of your skills. As a guitar player the first time I listened all
I could think was, "how'd he do that?" "wow!" and, "I'll never be that good."
over and over again. The notes are more from a producers point of view. Not
that I'm a producer. But, if I was, it would be an honor to work with
someone of your musical skill. One last thing, I would like to say, being
a song writer myself. You're a good song writer as well as a great guitar
player....Chris Johnson
2002 was a very active year for TL2. If the completion of his long
anticipated CD "Life Without Light" wasn't enough he completed the guitar
work for the upcoming Quad-Cranium project, finished a 10 song demo with
rock legend Daniel, and finished his long awaited "Tracks Across America Vol. 1
project".
The 2001 Best Unsung Guitarist Award winner also teamed up with a
number of EvO:R members to provide additional guitar tracks to
various projects and is currently working on forming a new super group at evor.com!
