The Bill Carrera CD Reviews
Welcome to the EvO:R Carrera Reviews Section.
I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Bill
Carrera and I am the new music reviewer here at Evor. I wanted to let you know a little
about my thoughts on music. It's important to let the people that I review know how I
think of and listen to music. First of all I believe that if your music sucks then
the world should know about it! After all, you have the nerve to charge as much for
your stuff as the majors do so it better be pretty damn good, and if it is, I'll also
tell the world. I'll hold nothing back!

Uninhibited 2006
Kama Linden
The suggestive title of this cd and the picture of the very sexy young singer gave me the impression I was about to be assaulted by a tribute to bump-and-grind ... that impression was shattered with the first line of vocals.
EvO:Rian Kama Linden has a very sultry voice, but not sultry in my 'first impression' manner, but rather in a playful and alive ... oh so alive ... manner. Her range is rather impressive as is the quality and sheer passion of her vocals.
Her chosen genre seems at first to be pop, and the entire album would be well accepted in that world, but the underlying arrangements suggest something else. I hear, at times, hints of and nods to jazz, eurodance, c&w, blues, hip hop and even soul. Do you think that sounds like too bizarre a mix to be enjoyable? Well, YOU'RE WRONG, dead wrong. This album goes into my personal collection and it will get a spin rather often.
She also experiments with various vocal effects and styles making this album a marvelous audio tale of a talented vocalist finding herself. "Pass the sugar, I think I'm going to be sick" ... good writing as well.
The album, as a whole, ends up being a diary of sorts, as Kama travels through the first awareness of, the grudging acceptanceof, the full passion of, the total surrender to, the painful end of love and the inevitable bitterness toward the lost lover.
The good news is that she comes out on top as a future queen of the indie scene.
If you don't own a copy of Uninhibited 2006 within a week, you will forever be branded as a lamer by this reviewer.
