The Bill Carrera CD Reviews
Welcome to the EvO:R Carrera Reviews Section.
I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Bill
Carrera and I am the new music reviewer here at Evor. I wanted to let you know a little
about my thoughts on music. It's important to let the people that I review know how I
think of and listen to music. First of all I believe that if your music sucks then
the world should know about it! After all, you have the nerve to charge as much for
your stuff as the majors do so it better be pretty damn good, and if it is, I'll also
tell the world. I'll hold nothing back!

Review of Chigger Red
Chigger Red
The Hard Road
Do you remember Rock and Roll? You know the music us 30 plus somethings grew up on. That music you could crank up,
and not have to think about it just enjoy. The driving guitar and a good base line with solid drums.
Well on the disc “The Hard Road” from the band
Chigger Red you can bring it all back home.
The first time I really did listen to this disc was on a long road trip. The opening song “Hangover Hotel” slammed
out of the speakers its driving rhythms kept me watching the speedometer. I really enjoyed this first song,
and really looked forward to the rest of the disc. The music is straightforward 3-piece rock and roll. Chigger
Red with members: Drummer, Leo Cuevas, Vocals and Guitar Mike Stansberry, and Bass player Chris Stansberry,
starts off with a nice delivery. The one and only thing I noticed that I might could find as a slight hiccup
was on the first song of the disc, the vocal track seemed a little low on my car stereo, however when I listened
to it on another system it seemed fine.
The rest of Chigger Red’s “The Hard Road” doesn’t disappoint. The music is filled with tight rhythms and some
really nice guitar work. I enjoyed the drums on this disc. The snare drum jumps out at you.
Their musical style might be compared to Ozzy Ozborne, Leonard Skynard, and sometimes The Allman Brothers Band.
Touching on many of the classic rock and roll themes that this list has addressed the band Chigger Red belts
out a very classic feel. Never does the band try to reproduce or copy these others but still the spirit of
that kind of music is present, and you can imagine those bands doing a similar song.
With the disc “The Hard Road” by Chigger Red, you get some attitude you just don’t want to shake, strong
and upfront deliveries. All eleven songs in fact, come at you with the same, in your face, lets get it
on attitude. I thoroughly enjoyed this disc. Looking for a rock and roll album? Give Chigger Red’s “The Hard Road”
a try.
